Our Shared Ministries ~ Engaging our experiences, skills, interests, and energies as partners in ministry

Our Energy Wheel

Our Energy Wheel

At St. Paul’s UCC, our Energy Wheel is divided into two circles, like two sides of a coin. The four quadrants on one side represent the Ministry of Belonging & Community, the Ministry of Faith Formation, the Ministry of Mission & Outreach, and the Ministry of Spiritual Life. The other side of the coin represents the overall Ministry of Administration & Stewardship. Numerous ministries on that side of the coin support and undergird the work of worshiping, learning, connecting, and sustaining.

Ministry of Belonging & Community
We connect church members and visitors to each other, provide opportunities for fellowship and support, and invite people from outside the congregation to visit and learn more about St. Paul's UCC. To learn more about specific ministries within Belonging & Community, click here.

Ministry of Faith Formation
We provide faith development opportunities for people of all ages as we move along our many unique faith journeys. We support intergenerational and age-specific programs. To learn more about specific ministries within Faith Formation, click here.

Ministry of Spiritual Life
We work on the support, improvement, and enrichment of our congregational worship experience and sacred space. We engage our congregation in spiritual practices. (Examples of practice include prayer, meditation, music, and retreat ministry.) To learn more about specific ministries within Spiritual Life, click here.

Ministry of Mission & Outreach
Our purpose is to further develop and expand St. Paul UCC’s effort to provide support, service, and outreach within our immediate community and the wider ministries of the UCC. To learn more about specific ministries within Mission & Outreach, click here.

Ministry of Administration & Stewardship
The Ministry Board is the church’s elected governing body. It exists to provide oversight, direction, and decision-making, carrying out the will of the congregation between congregational meetings. To learn more about specific ministries within Administration & Stewardship, click here.

There are many ways to be a partner in ministry in our congregation. You can participate in a one-time event. You can volunteer regularly in a particular area of ministry. You can also serve on a standing committee, board, or team. Engagement varies widely in terms of time commitment and level of experience, skill, interest, and energy.
