CROP Hunger Walk

Sunday, October 9 | Registration begins at 12:30 pm

This walk raises money and awareness for hunger relief globally and locally.  We need walkers to join the SPUCC walking team, volunteers to work the refreshment stop on our front lawn, and donors to support the fundraising effort. The money raised goes to support hunger relief globally through Church World Service and locally through the Department of Indian Work Emergency Food Shelf at Interfaith Action.  Like last year, the walking route will go from Macalester Plymouth United Church at 1658 Lincoln Ave. to SPUCC and back, for a total of about 3.6 miles.  Walkers can walk more or less if they prefer.  Registration will begin at Mac Plymouth at 12:30 p.m., and the walk will begin promptly at 1:15 p.m.  Look for signup sheets in the narthex to join the walking team or volunteer at the refreshment stop.  Walkers can register online and do additional fundraising, but individual fundraising is not required or expected.  If you do register online, choose to join the “St. Paul’s UCC” team (see instructions for joining a team here).
