We are excited to offer you all an opportunity to connect with Sunday School for the first time, or again through training. The training will be in two-parts. The first part will be on zoom on August 20th from 9am- 10:30am. The second part will be the next day on Sunday, August 21st from 11:45am- 1:15pm.
The training will be designed mostly around resourcing folks to be Storytellers and Doorkeepers. The training will also include a time to schedule when we would like to help out during the first half of the program year (Sept. Dec.). The goal is for everyone who will be part of Sunday School leadership this program year to take part in the training.
The zoom portion of the training will include a walkthrough of Godly Play, what it is and how it works, followed by a time to work on the schedule for the fall. The in-person portion of the training will be practicing telling stories and door keeping.
If you would like to be part of Sunday School leadership in the fall but are unable to come to part/all of the training, that is OK. We can find a time to complete the training in one-on-one sessions. Though, if you are able to come to the training, it will be much more fulfilling as the training is designed for group work.
