Poetry communicates through rhyme or rhythm, using evocative or jarring images, offering insights sideways or indirectly, and sometimes filling the space between the lines with things unsaid but begging for your attention anyway. How might these features help poetry chase after the ineffable … and dare to speak of God? More than just a poetry reading, this evening pairs some of David’s poetry with his own reflections–and yours. Selected poems will be on display and available for reading in advance.
