Vocation, which is about using our gifts to serve the larger good, is deeply relational. Indeed, vocation involves an entire ecology: an entire web of roles and relationships, our own and those around us. But it also involves our place in the web of all creation—and how we shape ourselves to live virtuously on a planet deeply in need of our love.
