Allison Breininger MA, Education, is an experienced teacher, trainer, coach … and now full time caregiver to her husband, Sean, and founder of The Negative Space

When, in her thirties, Allison was thrust into the role of caregiver for her husband, she found herself often in “the negative space”: doing essential things, but always at the margins of the conversation and with little to no support for herself. In response, she founded The Negative Space to offer support to others who find themselves in a caregiving role – and to effect structural changes in health care systems so that caregivers don’t feel that they only occupy “negative space” at the edges. She’ll share insights from her journey, how that fuels her work today and offer insights to us on how we can show up for the caregivers in our lives.
