Lenten Book Read

Wednesdays | March 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29, 2023 | 6:30-7:30 pm
Thursdays | March 2, 9, 16 , 23, and 30, 2023 | 10:30-11:30 am

In celebration of being a church with a Land Acknowledgement, this year’s book study during Lent will be Braiding Sweetgrass. At the end of the preface, author Robin Wall Kimmerer describes her book as, “an intertwining of science, spirit, and story – old stories and new ones that can be medicine for our broken relationship with earth, a pharmacopeia of healing stories that allow us to imagine a different relationship, in which people and land are good medicine for each other.”

The Lenten Book Read will be a great time for small groups to discuss Braiding Sweetgrass. It is rich with beautiful stories and anecdotes that will aid us in being better stewards of creation. Whether you have read the book before, or are just getting around to it, all are welcome. Small group sign ups will be available for Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings during Lent and Sunday after church. Click here to sign up!
