August is Make-A-Will Month!

A will is a critical component of your estate planning and ensures your property and assets are distributed according to your intentions. It is a clear expression of your wishes that allows you to leave a lasting impact, supporting the people, institutions and causes you care about most.

The Bible speaks plainly and often about inheritance; what we receive and leave behind for others. What we leave for others should reflect our lifelong stewardship and generosity. One way to ensure this commitment is through a Will and estate plan.

“In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will, so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.” - Ephesians 1:11-12 (NRSV)

I invite you to create or update your Will, either by contacting your estate planning attorney or through our easy-to-use FreeWill service. This complimentary service is provided through Together for Tomorrow, a shared legacy campaign through our partnership with the Pension Boards of the United Church of Christ.

Create My Will Now

Plan your legacy as a powerful witness to your commitment to your loved ones and to the sustainability of the institutions that have aided you and which you have supported throughout your lifetime. The value of an inheritance is both finite and eternal in its impact. We live for the glory and praise of our God just as Christ did.

Thank you for including your legacy commitments across the life of the church.

Very truly yours,

Michelle A. Carver, MBA
Director of Philanthropy, UCC
