Become a Gender-Affirming Care Champion
The Minnesota Conference of the United Church of Christ is inviting people across our churches to become Gender-Affirming Care Champions, steady, grounded advocates who can help support transgender people and provide accurate, compassionate information about gender-affirming care.
At its annual meeting in June, the Minnesota Conference affirmed the sacredness of trans people and the vital importance of protecting access to gender-affirming care. The Conference is now working to resource people who want to be part of this advocacy and support.
Could this be a way for you to get involved? You don’t need to have all the answers or a perfect solution. What’s needed is a willingness to care deeply for our trans siblings, learn more, and connect with others engaged in this work.
Join an initial hybrid information session on Wednesday, September 23, at 7 p.m. The gathering will be held at United Theological Seminary in St. Paul, with an online option available.
